Dinner Dates dating service began in the U.S. as a British import when advertising & marketing professional Valerie Patterson visited England.
Tired of the "singles scene" in Orlando, Patterson learned of a London dinner party, just for quality, available singles, that has been successfully used in Europe for 100 years. Patterson attended that private dinner dance party at THE Ritz Hotel in London and has since referred to that as the best investment of her life.

Valerie Patterson started Dinner Dates after a trip to London
Valerie describes her experience that evening as "Champagne and candlelight, an idyllic ambiance of old world charm, sophistication and elegance." Valerie recalls dancing to a 14-piece orchestra till the wee hours of the morning. "I WAS Cinderella and meeting the caliber of men and women I had always wanted to meet!"
On the plane trip home, Patterson thought to herself.... right concept, right planet....wrong continent so she decided this should be offered to single executives in Central Florida - it was simply too great an idea not to work. "Most quality singles don’t want to advertise their availability on a bar stool in some smoky nightspot," says Patterson, "They want like-minded singles to interact within a safe and socially acceptable environment.” more »»
